Thank you so much for signing up for the CMA a Day two week challenge! Starting Monday morning, August 8th and ending Friday, August 19th, every day (Mon - Fri) you will send one CMA (Market Snapshot) to one past client or person from your SOI. Be sure to schedule your time block in your calendar of when you will complete this starting Monday!! We kick off this challenge with the first email Monday morning, August 8th!
The goal and purpose of this action is to create a daily habit and routine of:
Deeply learning and understanding your local market.
Generating more business by being top of mind with people you know by providing something of value to them.
Creating and finding opportunities within your past clients and sphere to generate more business.
The challenge kicks off on Monday, BUT I would recommend reviewing and understanding some basics of the CRM, the CMA, and the email template tools in the Compass platform in advance. See the below resources for a head start.

Day 1 - August 8
Please watch this CMA a Day Challenge Welcome Video and demo and be sure to read this full email to make sure you get the most out of this experience.
What to expect from the CMA a Day Challenge
Over the next 2 weeks, you will send at least 10 CMAs, or as I call them, Market Snapshots to past clients or someone from your SOI (Sphere of Influence). When you send these CMAs, your goal is to create an authentic connection with a past client or someone from your sphere while providing valuable information. You’re not creating an exact analysis of the price of a property but providing a snapshot of the market activity around their home in a beautiful way with Compass technology. Remind yourself that the goal is to create a connection and provide value.
More importantly, as you send these daily, you will be taking massive action to calm the market anxiety you may be feeling and putting out positive intentions that will deliver you the business you want. I will be by your side every day, providing resources, templates and cheering you on. We’ve got this.
Listed below are the exact steps you’ll follow for the CMA a Day Challenge. Before you begin, take a moment, breathe in, and think about what it is you want to accomplish over the next two weeks – focus on how you will feel once you’ve accomplished it and make a commitment to get 1% better every day.

Today’s Steps for the CMA a Day Challenge - Total Time: 15 minutes (over time this will get easier and easier and you should be able to do this in less time)

Step 1: Pick one past client or one person from your Sphere of Influence who brings you joy when you see their name. Do not overthink this.
*Pro Tip: Lean on any of these strategies to find someone in your sphere that makes you smile
Use your Likey-To-Sell List (instructions here)
Review client names from your overdue tasks (instructions here)
Review your past sales spreadsheets or records
Step 2: Update their contact info in the CRM.
Bring up the person's contact in the CRM and review all details to ensure it’s up to date. Edit any glaring inaccuracies and add as much information as possible, including tags and groups (instructions here).
Step 3 - Create Market Snapshot (CMA Tool).
Using the CMA tool, create a “Market Snapshot” for your contact’s property. Remember, your goal is not to provide an exact analysis but just a snapshot. You’re focused on providing a view of the market that can spark a conversation.
Once the CMA is created, generate a link you can copy and paste into your email. (instructions here)
Step 4 - Draft and Send Email Template.
Copy the text from Template #1 into your email and edit it to match your voice and style. DO NOT obsess over perfection. The process is what matters here.
Then insert the link for the CMA (if you prefer, you can download and attach a version to the email - instructions here). Let your personality shine here. The more personal you make the email, the more likely the person is to open and interact with it!
Step 5 - Accountability - CLICK HERE to locate your accountability Spreadsheet
To track your progress, find your name (ABC order, by first name) on your state’s spreadsheet and put an uppercase “X” on Day 1. Be sure to double-check you are in the right box!
Congrats on completing Day 1! COMMITMENT IS KEY, and today you took the first step! If you hit roadblocks, that’s okay – work through them, and remember to always take ownership over your future!

Day 2 - August 9
Welcome to Day 2 of the CMA a Day Challenge! Please watch TODAY’S VIDEO and read through today’s message.
I am loving the direction this is going and SO GRATEFUL for all of the people participating and for the feedback. I hope you are learning a lot and in today's video, I displayed one of the big ah-ha's from yesterday.
Lesson Learned: You can delete and edit pages from the CMA that you don't want included!! When doing a market snapshot you don't need to provide a value because you are just displaying data on homes sold! Deleting the last two pages will be a godsend to all of my perfectionists out there!! Remember our goal in this challenge is to create awareness by providing a valuable piece of information to someone important to us. Perfection is the enemy of progress and happiness!! Plus most people just want to look at the photos comparing their kitchen or bathrooms to the neighbor's, etc.
Today’s task is to complete your CMA a Day Challenge and be sure to check off the box in the accountability tracker! Remember to focus on people who make you happy when you see their name and to have fun with this. Pro tip - to knock out two birds with one stone, scan your Likely To Sell list for great past clients to choose to do this with!

Two days down, congrats! If you have not yet, please celebrate your daily CMA a DAY success by marking “X” on your accountability spreadsheet as you complete each day’s CMA. Find your spreadsheet here.
As a reminder, by completing the CMA a DAY Challenge each day, you’re spending less than 15 minutes focusing on what are undeniably the most important three factors to your business’ success.
Learning the reality of the market and what properties are selling for
Updating your CRM and database 1 contact at a time, and
Generating opportunities (also known as lead generation)
If you’re consistent in sending your CMA a Day, (remember to think of it as a market snapshot), it’s inevitable good things will continue for your business. Your goal is to make sure to personalize each email when you send it! The key to this challenge is making sure you are crafting email templates that are authentic to you and that are tailored to your business. I will be building a library of email templates you can choose from that best fit. If you have a good email that you think would benefit others, please share it with me (copy core@compass.com too)!
Today I am adding an email that is perfect to use for agents who are newer to the business and do not have too many past clients. You can also use this template if the person you are sending the email to is not your past client. It is a powerful tool to have at your fingertips, especially when you are working with your Likely To Sell’s!
Here are the two email templates you can choose from to send your CMA a Day: Email Template 1 and Email Template 2. Today is not about perfecting the email, it’s about the process, so don’t let yourself spend more than 5 minutes editing. Progress over perfection. You’ve got this!

Day 4 - August 11
Congratulations on getting to Day 4 of the CMA a Day Challenge! PLEASE WATCH TODAY’S VIDEO and READ THE BELOW EMAIL. If you have not done so, please update the accountability spreadsheet when you complete each CMA each day - find your spreadsheet here.
The key to success in anything you pursue is consistency and authenticity. One of my goals of this challenge is that you will find joy and fulfillment in creating new opportunities (AKA lead generation) by sending these out once a day beyond this challenge. When you enjoy
what you are doing, it allows you to show up in a more authentic and consistent manner. Imagine if you actually sent one a day for an entire year...what would your database look like....what would your referral business look like...what would your life look like? Start to Dream Big and realize that this business is easy if we do the little things consistently!
Today, I’m sharing another email that is great to use for FARM areas or for people you don’t know well or haven’t connected with in a long time. It was written by Mel J. Biondi from Compass Florida, LLC. Thanks, Mel. Access the template HERE. This template could also be turned into a printed letter and the CMA into a PDF and mailed if you do not have their email. You could also use this technique for expired listings as well which may become prevalent depending on where the market goes!

With four days behind us, I’ve already heard from many of you about the success you’re having. I wanted to share Rebekah Snipp, from our Houston, Texas market sent me an email with some pretty incredible results. She runs a large team and is also creating an accountability challenge within her team with rewards. To read her email click here. With that, remind yourself SUCCESS is DOING the work! The results are the icing on the cake. Keep your focus not on whether people are responding but on the fact that you are sending out opportunities and valuable information to people you care about. That is the WIN!

This weekend focus on being healthy and doing “healthy selfish” activities. It is critical to take some time to yourself to recharge and whatever fills your cup with positive energy and enjoyment and allows you to be healthy this weekend, make it a priority to take care of yourself.

It’s a fresh week and CMA a Day Challenge Day 6 -- Let’s go! Please watch TODAY’S VIDEO, read the message below, and remember to update your accountability spreadsheet when you complete each CMA - find your spreadsheet here. NOTE - If you missed a day you can do extra CMAs and check off any missed days in the tracker.
Ok everyone...time to let go of everything you did, and even more importantly, DID NOT DO from last week and focus on this present moment. A lot of people hit roadblocks or created them by trying to create something perfect, which halted their momentum. “Perfect” is the enemy of happiness. Our goal is to run a business that is focused on providing a ton of value for the people who we know and love to work with. When we try to be perfect, we are operating against this goal. Progress over Perfection each and every day! So my message today is that no matter what you didn’t get to last week, give yourself grace and tell yourself, “What matters is what I do today and how I show up today!” Grace allows you to practice compassion towards yourself and make positive changes and progress in your life!
TODAY, do one small action to move your business forward. Doing productive and value-laden actions that help people will make you happy and feel accomplished and motivated to do more, so make that choice today, move forward, and do one CMA a Day (market snapshot) today and for the next four days. Also, if you have hit any roadblocks on a particular client or technique be sure to move past it. The goal of the activity is to create a habit of reaching out to people you know with something of value and update your CRM! One action at a time creates big momentum when those actions compound. Day 7 - August 16
Welcome to day 7 of the CMA a Day Challenge! Please watch TODAY’S VIDEO and read the message below.
Today, I have a short but powerful message that I hope you’ll put into action immediately — HAVE FUN! When you are selecting which person to send a CMA a Day to, please make sure you are having fun with this. Focus on your favorite clients...the people that you love...the referral partners that send you a ton of business. We often create stories in our minds about what our past clients or people in our Sphere will think of us. Often these are negative stories with tons of self-doubt. I challenge you today to flip the switch and tell yourself positive stories about how happy and grateful people will be to hear from you!
When we have fun in life and business is when we achieve the most, and work becomes PLAY!! If you’re having fun, you’ll take the action, and we know the actions yield results. So, just focus on that one fun outreach to that one wonderful client. Move yourself to action and watch all the stress and anxiety melt away.
